Reported risk: On certain vehicles equipped with 3.3 litre engines, the crankshaft may have pin surface irregularities. This could lead to premature crankshaft and/or engine bearing wear. If the vehicle continues to be driven with a worn engine bearing or crankshaft, it could cause an engine stall while the vehicle is in motion, resulting in loss of motive power which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the engine assembly. Note: This condition would result in the check engine light and the oil pressure lamp to illuminate in the instrument cluster.
