Reported risk: On certain travel trailers, a reinforcement plate attaching the drawbar to the trailer chassis may not have been properly welded during the manufacturing process. If the welds were to fail, the trailer could separate from the vehicle while in transit, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: The manufacturer will bolt the drawbar directly to the chassis.
