Reported risk: On certain vehicles, and incorrect fuel pressure map was used in the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) software as a result, the pressure regulator may fail to open to send fuel from the sub tank to the main tank. Under certain conditions, the fuel level in the main tank could be too low for the fuel pump to send fuel to the engine resulting in a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the software for the Fuel Pump Control Module.
