Reported risk: On certain aerial devices, the winch brake may have been installed backwards. If an hydraulic winch line were to fail, the winch brake would not be able to hold the load, which could increase the risk of injury to the operator and/or bystanders. Correction: Dealers will reverse the direction of the winch brake and adjust the winch brake torque setting.
