Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the piston pin circlip may have been improperly installed into the piston groove during assembly. If the circlip is not properly installed, over the course of engine operation, the piston pin will rub against the cylinder wall causing noise and damage, which could result in an engine failure and the engine stalling.
