Reported risk: Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. Due to an assembly error involving the driver’s frontal airbag, the second stage of the airbag may to fail to deploy. As a result, the vehicle may fail to meet the occupant protection requirements of the standard. This could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a crash where second-stage airbag deployment is warranted. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver airbag module and, if necessary, replace it. Note: The primary stage of the driver's airbag deployment is not affected.
