Reported risk: On certain motorhomes, the battery compartment was not properly sealed to the interior of the motorhome. The top angle iron used as a stop for the coach battery compartment had no sealant put between the angle iron and the motorhome floor. This could result in gases from the battery entering the interior of the motorhome when there is a negative pressure, which could increase the risk of injury or possibly result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will seal the battery compartment with a caulking bead to prevent gases from entering the motorhome.
