Reported risk: On certain motorcycles, the engine control unit software which regulates the idle speed may have been incorrectly programmed. As a result, if the clutch lever is engaged, the throttle is closed and the engine is operating at idle, the engine may stall. An engine stall could lead to a loss of stability of the motorcycle, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
