Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the draglink ball socket boot may be damaged due to the angle of the ball stud. This could cause contaminants to enter the ball socket and cause corrosion, accelerating the wear of the ball. If left untreated, the ball joint could separate from the socket resulting in complete loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the draglink.
