Reported risk: Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 118 - Power-Operated Window, Partition and Roof Panel Systems. If the vehicle were to be turned off while the sunroof is closing, the sunroof may continue to move towards the closed position instead of stopping, which is contrary to the standard. This could result in injury to a vehicle occupant if they were in the way of the sunroof as it was closing. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the vehicle's sunroof software.
