Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the fuel pump assembly may not have been properly secured. This could cause an electrical short which would disable the fuel pump, potentially causing the engine to stall and resulting in a loss of motive power. This could also result in a fuel leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. These issues could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and re-secure the fuel pump assembly.
