Reported risk: Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 102 - Transmission Control Functions and CMVSS 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. A defect in the transmission shift selector assembly could allow the driver to shift the transmission out of the PARK gear position without depressing the brake pedal, change gear positions without depressing the gear shift lever detent button, and/or remove the ignition key without the transmission being in PARK. These issues could cause unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs.
