Reported risk: On certain motorhomes, a damper plate may be missing on the roof air conditioner inside shroud. The damper plate is designed to prevent air flow from the air conditioner from disrupting the propane fuelled range flame. A missing damper could allow airflow from the air conditioner to extinguish the flame. If the range flame goes out, propane could continue to flow and ignite, resulting in a fire and/or explosion, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Corerction: Dealers will install a damper.
