Reported risk: On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins EPA 2010 ISL engines, insufficient shielding is installed between the exhaust pipe and the floor. If the exhaust pipe were to fail, the escaping gases could make the floor area above the engine extremely hot, increasing the risk of personal injury or possibly resulting in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a heat shield.
