Reported risk: On some vehicles, due to a misrouted fuel transfer tube inside the fuel tank, the fuel gauge may read higher than the actual level in the fuel tank. This could cause the vehicle to run out of fuel without notice. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the fuel transfer tube and reroute if necessary.
