Reported risk: On certain vehicles converted for mobility-impaired persons, the rear axle may crack and fail. If the rear axle fractures, vehicle handling may be adversely affected, which could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the rear axle for cracks and, depending on axle integrity, will either repair or replace the axle assembly. Additionally, a new track bar bracket will be installed on top of the axle.
