Reported risk: Certain school buses fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 222 - School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection. If a seat is equipped with child anchorage system lower anchorages, the area adjacent to these anchors does not meet the leg protection zone impact criteria of the Standard. Passenger legs could contact the lower portion of the seat in front of them during a sudden stop or a vehicle crash, which could increase the risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install additional foam padding under the upholstery.
