Reported risk: On certain trucks equipped with a car hauler body/chassis, and a Mercedes-Benz EPA04 MBE4000 engine with a fuel filter mounted at the rear of the engine, the low pressure fuel lines may develop a substantial diesel leak. This could be caused by cracking due to undetermined causes, or from abrasion due to contact with other components. Diesel fuel spilt on the roadway could endanger other road users by making the roadway unexpectedly slippery. Correction: Dealers will replaced the low pressure fuel lines with more robust versions, as well the vehicle will be inspected and reworked as required to ensure that no other components come in contact with the fuel lines.
