Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the inboard (buckle end) seatbelt anchor backing plates do not meet the Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) design specifications. In the event of a crash, the seatbelt anchorage may not restrain the seat occupant as intended, which could increase the risk of personal injuries. Correction: Dealers will inspect the vehicles to determined if the modification has already been applied. On vehicles not yet modified, a longer seatbelt anchor bolt, two hardened washers and a jam nut will be installed.
