Reported risk: On certain Can-Am Spyder RS and RT, equipped with an SE5 semi-automatic transmission, the clutch may remain engaged while the vehicle is brought to a stop, which could cause the engine to stall. Should the engine stall, it may be impossible to re-start. As well, the rear wheel may be locked, making it difficult to move the vehicle out of the way of other road users. Engine stalling, and the resultant loss of propulsion could, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Dealers will update the centrifugal clutch assembly.
