Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the hole in the sheetmetal front bulkhead that serves as the base and pivot point for the hood support rod may not have been punched to specifications during the manufacturing process. If the hood support rod hole fails, the hood could fall, potentially injuring someone working in the engine compartment. Note: All vehicles were inspected before retail sale. None were found to be out of specification.
