Reported risk: Certain school buses fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 217 - Bus Window Retention, Release and Emergency Exits. Retroreflective tape was not installed around the perimeter of the roof mounted emergency exit hatch. Improperly identified emergency exits may hinder evacuation efforts. Correction: Dealers will install retroreflective tape. Note: Further evaluation revealed that only U.S. vehicles are involved.
