Reported risk: On certain motorcycles, the suspension arm may develop cracks from the combined effects of a press-fit bearing and exposure to corrosive agents (such as snow melting agents). Should these cracks become severe, the rear suspension could collapse, which could result in reduced vehicle control, and a crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the suspension arm assembly with one that has redesigned pivot points with new hardware more resistant to corrosion.
