Reported risk: On certain vehicles, inadequate hood cylinder dampening may allow the hood to be opened with too much force. Once the cylinders reach full extension, this lack of dampening could cause them to separate from the hood, allowing the hood to keep tilting forward, possibly injuring its operator or a bystander. Correction: Dealers will replace the hood restraint cylinders.
