Reported risk: On certain buses, the exhaust elbow may have been incorrectly welded during the assembly process. As a result, an exhaust leak could develop, possibly causing heat damage to surrounding components, including wiring for the tail lamps. A loss of tail lamp function will make the vehicle less visible to other road users past daylight hours. Should the vehicle continue to be operated with an exhaust leak, a vehicle fire could result. Correction: Dealers will replace the exhaust elbow.
