Reported risk: Certain travel trailers can be overloaded, reducing tongue weight sufficiently to cause excessive vehicle sway. This could lead to a loss of vehicle control which could result in a crash with injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will add weight to the trailer A-frame to offset the weight of water in the fresh water tank. This weight offset will restore correct tongue weight and improve trailer-towing stability. The existing weight certification labels (both interior and exterior) will be replaced.
