Reported risk: Certain fifth wheel and travel trailers were equipped with 16" X 7" rims instead of the specified 16" X 6" rims. The wider rim does not allow proper clearance between the shock absorber, shock brackets and the tire. This reduced clearance may cause the tire to rub on the chassis resulting in tire failure. This failure may result in loss of control and a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the wheels and tires of affected vehicles.
