Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the Carrier Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) speed controller may fail and cause the fan motor to operate continuously in the "HIGH" speed mode, and the control switch may not operate correctly to reduce or otherwise control the fan motor speed. The PWM speed controller may overheat and cause a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace the speed controller. Further evaluation revealed that only U.S. vehicles are affected.
