Reported risk: On certain motorcycles, the throttle cables could come in contact with the tunnel portion of the fuel tank. In this condition, the cables could eventually wear through the tank, causing a fuel leak. A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect the cables and tank, reposition the cables and, if necessary, repair or replace the tank and/or cables.
