Reported risk: On certain motorcycles, a defect may exist in the lower cam-chain drive sprocket which may cause it to fail. This failure could cause the engine to lock-up which could result in a loss of control and a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will remove the right side engine access cover to visibly inspect the lower crankshaft cam-drive sprocket for cracks. Engine that fail the visual inspection will be replaced.
