Reported risk: On certain trucks, there may be interference between the dust shield mounting bolt and the knuckle on the front axle. As a result of the interference, the bolt joint between the wheel end and the knuckle may not meet the torque requirements. This could result in vibration or brake performance issues. Braking capability would not be possible, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will remove the hub and brake assembly to install a new dust shield.
