Reported risk: On certain vehicles, premature power steering pressure hose wear may cause a fluid leak. Such a leak would eventually result in a noise from the starving steering pump and increased steering effort. Although the power assist function of the steering would be lost, the driver would maintain steering control. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the power steering pressure hose.
