Reported risk: On certain vehicles built on FCCC MB-55 shuttle bus chassis, the location of the 90 gallon fuel tank will allow flexing and rocking between the frame rails, caused by loads from the rear suspension, to be transferred into the fuel tank, which could create a leak in a weld where the tank contacts the lower fuel tank support. A catastrophic loss of a large amount of fuel may create a hazardous road condition for other traffic. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a redesigned fuel tank and mounting brackets to improve the isolation between the tank and frame rails.
