Reported risk: On certain vehicles, after approximately nine or more years of use, the accelerator cable cover in the subject vehicles may deteriorate causing the cable rubber boot to adhere to the inner throttle cable. This can cause the accelerator cable to delay RPM and vehicle speed reduction for several seconds after the accelerator pedal is released, which, in turn, can lead to a crash. Correction: Dealer will replace the throttle cable rubber boot.
