Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the thermostat regulating the temperature of the heated seats has been incorrectly positioned during assembly. The incorrect positioning creates the potential, when the seat heating element is activated, that the surface of the seat reaches an unacceptably high temperature. In extreme cases, this could cause damage to any object in contact with the seat cushion. Correction: An additional control unit will be fitted to each heated seat.
