Moisture entering the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) as a result of corrosion can cause illumination of the "Check Engine" light or cause the engine to run rough. If these symptoms are ignored, the engine may stall and may not be able to be restarted. Correction: Dealers will inspect, clean and/or replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), then seal the PCM in a protective shield/cover assembly.
