Reported risk: THE ELECTRICAL CABLES FROM THE BATTERY TO THE STARTER SOLENOID COULD BECOME WEDGED BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT AND THE WIRE GUIDE. THIS COULD LEAD TO INSULATION DAMAGE AND A POSSIBLE SHORT CIRCUIT WHICH COULD IN TURN CAUSE ENGINE STOPPAGE AND LIGHT FAILURE, RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT. CORRECTION: CABLES WILL BE ROUTED THROUGH THE COIL BRACKET, A GROMMET WILL BE INSTALLED TO PREVENT CHAFING OF THE INSULATION AND CABLES WILL BE SECURED WITH A PLASTIC TIE WRAP. CABLES FOUND TO BE DAMAGED DURING INITIAL INSPECTION WILL BE REPLACED.
Verify each fact at the issuing agency before acting. Recall scope, affected lots, and remediation instructions may be updated by the agency after our last sync.
