Reported risk: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ROCKWELL TANDEM DRIVE AXLES AND OUTBOARD MOUNTED BRAKE DRUMS, THE NUTS THAT RETAIN THE WHEEL HUBS ON THE DRIVE AXLES MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TORQUED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE DURING ASSEMBLY. THIS COULD RESULT IN LEFT REAR WHEEL SEPARATION AND A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT.
CORRECTION: THE LEFT SIDE DRIVE AXLE SPINDLE JAM NUTS ON BOTH FORWARD AND REAR DRIVE AXLES ARE TO BE TORQUED TO PROPER SPECIFICATION. IF THE WHEEL HUB NUTS ARE FOUND TO BE LOOSE THEY ARE TO BE REPLACED.
Verify each fact at the issuing agency before acting. Recall scope, affected lots, and remediation instructions may be updated by the agency after our last sync.
