Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the rear brake tee junction block, mounted on top of the rear axle was painted with anti-corrosion paint along with the rear axle assembly. The rear brake fluid supply hose end fitting is connected to the tee junction block with an eye bolt and two copper washers. Brake fluid in contact with the paint on the junction block may cause the paint to deteriortate. This could result in loss of bolt clamp load, a loosening of the connection, and could lead to sebsequent fluid loss.
