Reported risk: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH TILT STEERING COLUMNS. SOME TILT STEERING COLUMNS CONTAIN TRANSMISSION CONTROL INSERTS (GEAR SELECTOR POINTERS) THAT WERE INTENDED FOR USE IN 1978 MODEL TRUCKS. USE OF THESE INSERTS COULD ALLOW THE ENGINE TO BE STARTED WITH THE SHIFT SELECTOR POSITIONED BETWEEN NEUTRAL (N) AND DRIVE (D) AND THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE.
