Reported risk: On certain vehicles equipped with a 6-cylinder gasoline engine, the wiring to the engine coolant pump could contact and become damaged by the engine fan. If this occurs, it could cause the engine coolant pump to stop working and the engine to overheat and stall. This could also cause the 48V on-board electrical system to deactivate while the engine is running. Under this condition the vehicle could be continued to be driven, however, the engine could not be restarted after it is switched off by the ECO start/stop function or the glide mode.
