Reported risk: On certain vehicles, a low-voltage condition caused by a loose battery connection or a low battery could cause a problem with the Transmission Control Module (TCM). If this happens, the transmission could shift to Park (P) while driving. This could cause damage to the transmission park pawl. As a result, when the transmission is shifted to P, the vehicle could move if the parking brake is not applied.
