Reported risk: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the powertrain control module (PCM) to reset while driving. If this happens, the parking pawl could become damaged. As a result, when the transmission is shifted to Park, the vehicle could move if the parking brake is not applied. Additionally, under certain conditions, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.3 L engine.
