Reported risk: Steam Humidifiers containing a specific type of electrode wire with a “D” shaped connector may loosen causing arcing and/or overheating at the interface of the connector and canister, posing a fire hazard to consumers. As of June 13, 2023 the company has received 103 reports of overheating in the United States and Canada, including 10 reports of overheating and 1 incident resulting in smoke or residential fires in Canada.
