Reported risk: The recalled transceivers can unexpectedly enter ‘search' mode despite the rotary switch being in its ‘send' position, resulting in the transceiver failing to transmit a signal which can cause delayed search and rescue operations in the case of an avalanche. As of April 11, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 7 reports of product malfunction and no reports of injuries.
