Reported risk: On certain snowmobiles, due to possible oil contamination of the drive pulley tapers during the assembly process, the drive pulley governor cup tapers may start to slip and lead to a bolt breakage. This could cause debris to come out of the engine compartment at high speed, causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will clean the drive upper sheave and governor cup tapers, then install a new drive pulley bolt and conical spring washer.
