Reported risk: On certain motorcycles, the center stand pivot screw may come loose during normal operation. If the screw backs out, the center stand may detach, presenting a ground clearance hazard, or coming into contact with the rear wheel and final drive assemblies. This could cause property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will apply thread locking coumpound to the center stand pivot screw.
