Reported risk: On certain trucks, the battery cables may have been routed incorrectly and could chafe against the front suspension spring shackle. Continued contact could wear through the cable's insulation, which could result in an electrical short circuit. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a bracket to route the battery cables away from the front suspension spring shackles.
