Reported risk: On certain travel trailers, the Federal Certification label and the Tire and Loading Information label do not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The labels incorrectly indicate a GAWR of 2,135 kg (4,703 lb) instead of 1,082 kg (2,384 lb), and a GVWR of 3,421 kg (7,535 lb) instead of 1,564 kg (3,444 lb). As such, the vehicle could be unwittingly overloaded, which would result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.
