Reported risk: On certain vehicles, a component of the Automatic Fire Detection and Suppression System may have been installed incorrectly and could contact or rub against brackets and clamps. As a result, the system may inadvertently activate causing, amongst other things, the engine to stop. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the linear thermal detector.
